Opera Show – one of the most luxurious and exclusive shows in the world

“Opera Show” by Arina Domski is a cross of different epochs and traditions. Based on the classical base, Arina creates fusion of time and mood by combining different epochs and musical styles.

90-minutes unique theatrical show introduces the public with pieces of art starting with Handel, Mozart, Tchaikovsky and ending by modern academic music. One of the main peculiarities of the show is the original modern sounding which is completely different from the ones of other famous representatives of classical crossover genre.
The whole show goes with light art, video installations, props, and theatrical dance.

Dancers and musician also form a part of the show.

Another distinctive things about the show are extraordinary stage images which make you look at the world of classics from a different angle. Different epochs, styles and large-scale settings will come together to bring the audience out of routine into a completely different space. The story on the stage is far from any tradition and conformity. The goal of Arina Domski is to popularize classical music in the modern world.

In January 2018 in Dubai, the Opera Show Arina Domski was awarded the Dubai Diafa Awards for the popularization of classical music in the world. Opera Show Arina Domski is a 90-minute show, conditionally divided into 24 performances. Each performance of the program is a separate theatrical history in which the orchestra, choirmans and ballet-dancers are involved.

2. Flowers

French composer Léo Delibes is an author of many operas, but his name could be forever immortalized with the only “Flower duet” from the opera “Lakme”!
There is a theme of “Flower Duet” from “Lakme” at the heart of the Flowers composition.
This composition is one of the most famous in the repertoire of Arina Domski.

3. Butterfly

The monologue “Cio-Cio-San” from the famous opera “Madame Butterfly” by G. Puccini is the basis of the composition Butterfly. A scenography of the performance, immerses the viewer in the atmosphere of Asian culture.

4. “Fly away on the wings of the wind” (A. Borodin’s opera “Prince Igor”

Interesting facts related to this composition:
1. The 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi was held with opera music during the opening ceremony, where the choral composition “Fly away on the wings of the wind” was performed.

2. Rap singer Voren Ji from America and opera diva Sissel from Norway recorded in 1997 a collaborative project PrinceIgor.
Hit parades of radio stations quite often announced this song in the winners. The variation of the choral number of girls in captivity was performed like a chorus.
3. The American cartoon “The Simpsons” used the musical piece “Fly Away on the Wings of the Wind.”

The scenography of this number is particularly original. Bringing the viewer into a real fairy tale. The Alkonost bird, as if revived from the paintings of the Russian artist V. Vasnetsov, enchants the audience with its voice!
For more than 3 months, masters worked on creating props for this number. To give the audience a real fairy tale.


 

5. Dance of life: from baroque to present days!

The majestic music of G.F. Handel brings the listener into the epoch of balls. The costumed celebration conveys the atmosphere of the old times so vividly that the observer literally makes a journey through the centuries. This act owes its success to the incredible sense of the game and the mystery that modern people miss so much.


 

6. Armida

One of the most poetic female images in the poem Torquato Tasso, served as an inspiration for writing the composition Armida.

Armida is a beautiful sorceress who keeps Rinaldo, the hero of the poem, in the magic garden with her spell.

Stage design: a golden harp on the background of a bright blue dome of the sky, which the viewer contemplates during the whole act; the main
character sings staying within this harp.


 

7. Shchedryk.

“Shchedryk”: the story of a Christmas carol (dedicated to the memory of Mykola Leontovych).

On Christmas days, everyone has heard this tune at least once – it sounds in stores, on the streets, in churches and even in cinemas. This is one of the most popular and recognizable melodies in the world.

Interesting facts related to this composition:

The melody of the Ukrainian koliada sounds in TV shows “South Park”, “The Simpsons”, “Family Guy”, “Saturday Night Live”, “The Mentalist”.

The melody was also used as a soundtrack in the movies“Harry Potter”, “Home Alone”, “The Mirror Has Two Faces”, “Die Hard 2”, “The Addams
Family”.
So “Shchedryk” is a Ukrainian song that has become a recognized world
masterpiece!

 

8.Swan Lake

One of the most famous musical themes of the ballet “Swan Lake” became
the basis of the vocal track “Swan Lake”.
The “Swan Lake” theme has been captivating the hearts of classical
music fans for more than a century already. This composition is considered to be the benchmark of high art.
“Swan Lake” quite literally can be called the ‘pearl’ of Russian classics, and P.I. Tchaikovsky – a great composer.

 

9. Solveig

The name of Edvard Grieg became a symbol of Norwegian music. Grieg’s most significant work is the music to Henrik Ibsen’s drama “Peer Gynt”.

On February 24, 1876, the premiere of the “Peer Gynt” the performance with Grieg’s music took place. It was a huge success. This historical performance was the beginning of the world fame of the playwright and composer.
Solveig’s song is the final episode in Henrik Ibsen’s drama. For more than a century, it has been the embodiment of saving magic of almighty and inexplicable love. This is a symbol of expectation and longing, infinite fidelity and eternal love.

Arina’s first single “Ti Amero”came into rotation of British music channel CMTV and introduced Arina to European audience.
